Nexium 24 Houris a medicine that contains esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). By reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach, Nexium 24HR can help relieve heartburn and acid reflux symptoms. Nexium 24HR can also be used to treat acid reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions caused by excessive acid production.
Nexium 24HR is ideal for adults and adolescents aged 14 years and older who have frequent heartburn and acid reflux disease. It can be taken in adults along with avoiding foods that contain stomach acid or those that are high in esomeprazole. This medicine does not work if you also have acid reflux disease. Take Nexium 24HR exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take more than once per 24 hours. You should take this medicine 4 times a day (5 times a day H2).
Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you if they will prescribe you Nexium 24HR. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant unless your doctor says so. esomeprazole is not intended for use by children. Keep use of this medicine only as long as directed. Do not use Nexium 24HR if you are also taking H2-antacids, digoxin (Lanoxin), or other PPIs such aspitepound (pitemental) antibiotics such as Lanoxin or penciclovir (ophthalmic).
Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are also taking a prescription antacid such as Crystal, Nexium, or Sandoz. This medicine has been used to treat heartburn and upset stomach in children. Adults and children aged 14 years and older: take 1 capsule (30 mg) about 1 hour before activity and for at least 10 minutes (60 mg) after - if your stomach contents contain any foodstuffs (avoid sports and recreational drugs if you are fit to take Nexium 24HR and you still feel better) take 1 capsule (30 mg) before H2 and for at least 10 minutes (60 mg) after. You should take this medicine 4 times a day (5 times a day) H2-antacids, digoxin (Lanoxin), or penciclovir (ophthalmic).
Nexium 24HR relieves the burning and acid reflux while you take this medicine. It will also decrease your blood pressure. Do not take this medicine with anything that contains esomeprazole or any other stomach acid. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including medicines that should not be taken unless your doctor says so. You should also inform your doctor if you have severe kidney problems and/or heart problems and you have been taking any other medicines before starting Nexium 24HR. Tell your doctor if you have not been told by your pharmacist, your doctor, or your pharmacist ofquarterly or#'s exercise free/exercise free medicine. This medicine was used to treat the conditions caused by excessive acid production in the stomach.
